SUMMIT SPECIAL

We’ve partnered with the Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice (OCHCH), which is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, and is hosting the event at their Center for Excellence on Schrock Road. This one-day summit is designed to help home health care recruiters, agency owners, directors, administrators, clinical managers, and human resource professionals with the challenges of hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the right employees. This will be a chance to interact with peers and discover useful techniques to help develop a revved up workforce as well as earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

HOW TO

Recruitment and retention have never been more important in our industry. In the current transient workforce culture, agencies have to think creatively to attract and retain employees. Finding the right talent, with the right capabilities, and at the right time, is crucial to meeting the demands of providing health care at home. The hiring process should identify and attract candidates with the best mix of skills, experience, and attributes for the job, to, ultimately, provide the best patient care. This summit will help by teaching why organizations lose employees and what can be done to keep them; proper and effective onboarding techniques; mentor versus preceptor issues; and providing competency tools and resources to access new employees where they are.

EXCELLENT PRESENTERS

Some of our own will be joining in the fun. In the morning, Julie Osborne, LeaderStat’s Director of Recruitment, and Audra Dixon, Executive Recruiter, will be discussing what organizations need in their onboarding tool kits. Julie will also be co-leading a Workforce Interactive Group Exercise that will offer tangible solutions to recruiting problems that can be implemented immediately. We know, “interactive group exercise” sounds scary, but Julie is very nice and we promise you’ll have fun!

Stick around for the afternoon because Kendra Nicastro, our Director of Business Development, will be providing on-the-ground tools and techniques to maximize digital recruiting strategies. This is the recruiting arena of the future, which is already embraced by millennials. Mastering it will be crucial for home health recruiters to find the next generation of leadership talent.
