The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) will soon be hosting their 2018 Conference, and LeaderStat will be there! June 28-30 you will be able to find us in booth 1162, Hall E/F at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO enjoying the aptly themed “Moving Mountains in Healthcare” conference. Representatives from LeaderStat’s Locum Tenens division will be at the conference’s career fair happily talking with thousands of nurse practitioners from around the country about the benefits of being an interim healthcare professional.

RESPONSIBLE PARTY

AANP knows how to throw a party. This is the largest national conference for nurse practitioners of all specialties. The goal of this year’s conference is to discuss current clinical, legislative, regulatory, and practice issues affecting nurse practitioners. AANP is on track to meet that goal with 300 sessions and 40 skill enhancing workshops covering a multitude of topics. Attendees have the opportunity to customize conference schedules and earn up to forty contact hours of continuing education. According to the conference brochure they will offer everything from state-of-the-art clinical skill-building workshops on topics as specific as how to splint extremity fractures, to keynote speaker Rear Admiral Susan Orsega (MSN, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, and Assistant Surgeon General) discussing “…How Can Nurse Practitioners Contribute to the Culture of Practice in the Nation’s Health Care System.”

The changing demographics of the nation are creating significant delivery challenges in healthcare.
