Eleanor N. Alvarez, BA, MAT, MAgS and CEO of LeaderStat, LLC, has more than 35 years of management experience in the post-acute and senior living fields as a provider and a consultant. Her areas of expertise include skilled nursing, assisted living operations, facility analysis and acquisitions, start-ups and turn-arounds. During her years working for national corporations, Eleanor was responsible for the operational management of more than 25 facilities. She opened skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, developed numerous high acuity specialty units and stabilized troubled centers.

In 2000, Eleanor identified the need for short-term leadership and staffing resources for skilled nursing centers and started LeaderStat to support these operations. Today, the company has expanded greatly and provides recruiting, staffing and consulting support to more than 2,000 clients in all 50 states and Canada. The firm places temporary and permanent leaders in the post-acute setting and travel nurses and locum tenens in the acute care setting. Recently, LeaderStat developed a COVID-19 rapid response team and provides direct care staff to centers who need help during the current COVID crisis. Under Eleanor’s guidance, LeaderStat has grown from a small start-up into one of the top healthcare recruiting and staffing firms in the country.

Eleanor is very proud of her accomplishment with the development of The Ganzhorn Suites specialized memory care centers, located in Powell, Ohio and Avon, OH. The Ganzhorn Suites promote a resident-centered, evidence-based approach for caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. In April 2023, Eleanor and the Ganzhorn leadership team joined together with Continental Senior Communities to form a new management company. This experienced senior living team will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of 12 Independent Living and Assisted Living communities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Kentucky. More developments are planned for the future. Eleanor is committed to continuously supporting the industry by serving as a board member on Linked Senior, Galt Foundation, and Central Ohio Alzheimer’s Association.
